Ricerca

Il Dipartimento promuove una ricerca fortemente inter- e trans-disciplinare, articolata in otto aree scientifiche: pedagogica, psicologica, sociologica, filosofica, storica, geografica, linguistica, antropologica e biologica. Le attività di studio affrontano tematiche come l’educazione e l’apprendimento lungo tutto l’arco della vita, l’inclusione, i processi cognitivi ed emotivi, le trasformazioni sociali, la sostenibilità territoriale, la memoria storica, l’identità culturale, la comunicazione interculturale, la salute globale e la didattica delle scienze. 
Le aree disciplinari sono rappresentate da settori scientifici che rientrano nei principali ambiti del Consiglio Europeo della Ricerca (ERC): dalla psicologia alla sociologia, dall’ambiente e società alla storia, dalle scienze dell’educazione ai linguaggi e alla cultura. 
Il Dipartimento conta attualmente 57 docenti strutturati e numerosi gruppi di ricerca attivi in progetti nazionali e internazionali.

The Department promotes strongly inter- and trans-disciplinary research across eight scientific areas: pedagogy, psychology, sociology, philosophy, history, geography, linguistics, anthropology, and biology. Research activities address topics such as lifelong and lifewide learning, inclusion, cognitive and emotional processes, social transformations, territorial sustainability, historical memory, cultural identity, intercultural communication, global health, and science education. 
The disciplinary areas are represented by scientific sectors aligned with key domains of the European Research Council (ERC): from psychology to sociology, from environment and society to history, from education sciences to languages and culture. 
The Department currently has 57 faculty members and numerous research groups involved in national and international projects.
